Variable Editing for Data Driven Customer Documents

The Client Letter Variable Editing feature ensures correct and complete customer documents by checking the accuracy of variable information entered by the user against established rules. Instructions for correcting the values or a list of permitted values may be presented to the user. Variable Editing automatically formats the value based on its type (numeric, date/time, currency, custom-format), ensuring the proper appearance in the document.

In addition, Variable Editing can apply default values to set minimum amounts such as a co-pay or to check if a minimum dollar purchase has been met. Mixed case and postal code formatting is built into the feature to dynamically modify case as necessary for the type of communication.
