Document Testing Environment

The Document Test System is used to test changes to documents before placing them into a production status. Documents created in Document Maintenance can be tested without saving them to the Client Letter Database. Through Document Maintenance, the administrator may launch a Document Test System, which looks and behaves just like Client Letter in a production mode.

When launching the Document Test System, the Document Administrator has the opportunity to specify the date and UserID under which the Document Test System is launched. These options are useful when testing features such as Valid dates or User Profile variables. While a Document Test System is open, the Document Administrator may switch to Document Maintenance to make additional changes. These changes then may be easily loaded into the Document Test System.
